Huddersfield youngster Olly Wilson has replaced Hull FC prop Josh Bowden in the England Knights squad to face Jamaica.

The Knights take on the Reggae Warriors at Emerald Headingley in Leeds this Sunday, October 20 (3pm).

Bowden has pulled out of Paul Anderson’s squad because he wants to have a full rest over the off-season.

Wilson becomes the fourth Knight who was part of the England Academy squad that beat the Australian Schoolboys last year. Harry Newman, Morgan Smithies and Harry Smith are the other three.

Bowden tweeted: “I’m just letting people know that I’ve decided to pull myself out of the England Knights camp and game.

“I’ve not got injured or anything but myself, coaches and physios have decided it’s the best decision for myself going forward.

“As I’ve not stopped training since the off-season started, this will give me chance to rest up and concentrate on my knee rehab before I head back to Hull FC for a big pre-season.”

England Knights squad to face Jamaica: Jack Ashworth, Danny Richardson, Olly Wilson, Rob Butler, Niall Evalds, Joe Greenwood, Ollie Partington, Sam Powell, Harry Smith, Morgan Smithies, Toby King, Tom Lineham, Kruise Leeming, Darnell McIntosh, Matty English, Greg Minikin, Harry Newman, Mikolaj Oledzki, Cameron Smith.
