Castleford Tigers star Oliver Holmes has been handed a one-match suspension.

The forward pleaded guilty but challenged the grading of the Grade D dangerous throw charge in their Super League win over Salford Red Devils on Sunday.

An independent operational rules tribunal, consisting of Chris Batty, Jon Hamer and Graeme Hallas, downgraded the charge to Grade B.

As a result, Holmes was given a one-match ban and fined £500.
