Oldham coach Matt Diskin will miss his side’s game with York this weekend after being forced to self-isolate due to coronavirus regulations.

One of his family has tested positive for COVID, forcing him in to a 10 day isolation, though he will be back in the dugout for the game against Widnes on Sunday week.

Last night’s training session was taken by assistant Brendan Sheridan and coach Jode Sheriffe.

The Roughyeds have also confirmed that they are in dialogue with Tameside Council and the Safety Advisory Group regarding the return of fans to Bower Fold for the Widnes game.

A club spokesman said: “We are asking fans to bear with us, but announcements will be made as soon as everything is finalised and signed off.”

Oldham have won two of their six Championship games so far this season.
