Bradford back-rower Tom Olbison has been handed a one-match ban by an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal.

Olbison, 23, was found guilty of placing undue pressure on the neck of Danny Tickle during the Bulls’ defeat to Widnes on Sunday.

He pleaded not guilty to Grade C dangerous contact, and was also fined £300 after the Tribunal downgraded the offence to Grade B.

Wakefield hooker Paul McShane escaped suspension after he was found not guilty of making dangerous contact with Rhys Lovegrove during the Wildcats’ defeat at Hull KR last weekend.
