Dinosaur Saints
We hear that out of favour Bulldogs enforcer Tony Williams has been targeted by St Helens. Williams is leaving Belmore at the end of the year and is after a new club. On his day the former NSW and Kangaroos enforcer is a match-winner, a hugely talented forward, but he’s also very inconsistent. Still, Super League could suit him.

Green to Leigh
One little birdy tells us that James Green will be a Centurion in 2017. The prop is off-contract at Hull KR and will depart the Robins at the end of this season. Our info is that he will link with Leigh next year.

Hulme move
We’ve been told that winger Declan Hulme is on the hunt for a new club. With Workington Town relegated, Hulme is searching for a new home for the next campaign. The 23-year old joined Town at the start of 2016 after he left Widnes.

Knock on Wood
Apparently Nigel Wood made a rushed trip to Brisbane in late May, in the week before the Challenge Cup final, to see Wayne Bennett. Our source is unsure of the reason of the speedy journey, but it seems to have fallen under the radar of most. Was it a quick trip to smooth things over with the skinny coach?

No Mullen
A Hunter-based source is confident that Jarrod Mullen won’t be wearing Huddersfield colours next season. According to reports the Newcastle halfback was set for a move to the Giants, but our man says the Knights have not been approached about Mullen and have no plans to let him go.

Wakefield fullback?

Another snippet to cross our desks this week has been that Trinity is after a number one. With Craig Hall and Jordan Tansey, Crhis Chester feels his squad is a bit light in fullback options. They also are believed to be after another halfback to go with Jacob Miller and Liam Finn. Sam Williams, currently with Canberra, is one option being considered.
