Huddersfield forward Luke O’Donnell has been confirmed as the Sydney Roosters‘ latest signing.

O’Donnell, a former North Queensland, NSW Origin and Australian test second-rower, has agreed a one-year deal with the Tricolours adding considerable experience to their pack.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of playing in the NRL again, and can’t wait to meet my new team-mates and getting stuck into training,” said O’Donnell.

Roosters Head Coach Trent Robinson said 32-year-old O’Donnell will bring an experienced edge to a young Roosters’ side.

“Luke has plenty of experience, will fit into our system here well and we’re looking forward to him starting,” said Robinson.

“Together with our other senior players in the forwards like Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Martin Kennedy and Frank-Paul Nuuausala, he’s sure to not only help on the field but it will be great to have him mentor the younger forwards we have coming through the ranks.”
