St George made it two wins from two with an easy 26-6 victory over lacklustre Canterbury.

Winger Josh Morris was in superb form for the Dragons running in a hat-trick of tries against a ragged Canterbury defence.

A solo score from youngster Ben Barba was all the Bulldogs had to show for their efforts.

A golden-point drop goal from Gold Coast halfback Scott Prince was enough to secure a dramatic 19-18 win over South Sydney.

The Rabbitohs fought back from a 12-6 interval deficit to lead 18-16, but with just minutes remaining they gave Prince the opportunity to tie level.

And the Titans needed just over a minute to give Prince the chance to slot the match-winning drop goal, which he duly took.

Sydney Roosters knocked over Wests Tigers 44-32 in an exciting game in sweltering heat.

An early score from Lote Tuqiri went with a brace from Benji Marshall but the Roosters were in impervious form.

Mitchell Pearce turned in another superb performance grabbing two tries as did new recruit Phil Graham and Aiden Guerra.

Manly surrendered a 20-0 lead to Parramatta, eventually losing 20-24.

The Sea Eagles raced into the lead with scores from Jamie Lyon, Tony Williams, Matt Cross and debutant Trent Hodkinson.

But the Eels surged back and grabbed tries through Eric Grothe, Fuifui Moimoi, Timana Tahu and Joel Reddy.

Luke Burt marked a fine 200th Eels appearance with four conversions to seal the win.

Melbourne did just enough to overcome a stubborn Newcastle side at home 20-14.

Tries from Akuila Uate and Adam McDougall helped the Knights into a 14-0 lead but the Storm hit back with scores from Luke MacDougall, Anthony Quinn and Dane Nielsen to help them ease in front.

Cameron Smith’s sublime performance with the boot ensured the win.

Manu Vatuvei ran in a hattrick of tries to help New Zealand Warriors to an easy 30-16 victory over Cronulla.

The Warriors raced into a 16-0 lead but tries from Luke Covell and Blake Ferguson gave the Sharks hope at half time 14-16.

Cronulla briefly drew level through Scott Porter’s penalty but the Warriors raced away and posted further scores from Vatuvei, and Sam Rapira to secure the result.

North Queensland bounced back from last week’s defeat against Brisbane to record an encouraging 28-20 win over Penrith.

The Panthers raced into a 14-2 half time lead thanks to tries from Luke Lewis and Luke Walsh but a brace of scores from Scott Bolton pulled the home side back into contention.

Further tries from Willie Tonga and Michael Bani ensured the Cowboys’ win.

Canberra held on to record their first victory of the year 22-24 over Brisbane.

The Raiders lead 18-0 at half time after posting scores from Joel Thompson, Josh Dugan and Josh McCrone.

But the Broncos staged a second half comeback and were within striking distance with a brace of tries from Israel Folau.

But McCrone broke Broncos hearts when he scampered over late on to help his side to a useful victory.
