NRL round-up: Burgess killing it, Tupou inspires Roosters, Knights brush Eels aside

England star Tom Burgess was one of the best players in round 13 of the NRL.

Antonio Winterstein scored two tries to help North Queensland Cowboys beat Manly Sea Eagles 26-12 at Lottoland on Thursday. Tonga star Jason Taumalolo also got on the scoresheet for the Cowboys.

South Sydney Rabbitohs made it five wins on the spin with a 22-14 victory over Cronulla Sharks at ANZ Stadium on Friday. England front-rower Burgess scored two tries for the Rabbitohs.

Newcastle Knights eased past Parramatta Eels 30-4 at ANZ Stadium on Saturday. Former Hull Kingston Rovers star Ken Sio scored for the Knights, while Fiji ace Daniel Saifiti also crossed the whitewash.

Tonga winger Daniel Tupou inspired Sydney Roosters to a 16-14 win over Wests Tigers at Allianz Stadium on Sunday. The win puts the Roosters two points ahead of the Tigers in the table.

Penrith Panthers and St George Illawarra Dragons are currently top of the NRL ladder with 20 points, while Parramatta, Canterbury Bulldogs, North Queensland and Manly Sea Eagles sit in the bottom four.
