NRC semi-final chosen for TV

The Northern Rail Cup semi-final between Featherstone and Leigh will be televised live on Premier Sports.

The Championship winners take on the current Northern Rail Cup holders on Thursday July 5th (7.30pm kick-off), with the prize a place in the Northern Rail Cup final at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool on July 29th.

Leigh are the most successful team in the history of the competition, having won it three times – in 2004, 2006 and 2011, while they were also runners-up in 2003.

Last season, Featherstone were eliminated in dramatic circumstances, losing their semi-final against Halifax 31-30 on the golden point.

In the other semi-final, Sheffield Eagles take on Halifax.
