Northern Rail Cup fixtures hit by weather

The big freeze has caused severe disruption on the opening weekend of the 2010 Northern Rail Cup programme with seven fixtures falling victim to frozen pitches.

However three matches will definitely go ahead this afternoon – Leigh Centurions v Oldham, Dewsbury Rams v London Skolars and Blackpool Panthers v Keighley Cougars. All three kick off at 3.00pm.

The following fixtures have been postponed: Sheffield Eagles v Halifax, Whitehaven v Batley Bulldogs, Widnes Vikings v Gateshead Thunder, Doncaster v Barrow Raiders, Rochdale Hornets v York City Knights, Workington Town v Swinton Lions and Hunslet Hawks v Featherstone Rovers.

New dates for all the postponed fixtures will be confirmed in the next few days.
