North Wales have signed Jordan Gibson and Joey Brady from the community game.

Half-back Gibson links up with the League 1 club from amateur side Haydock for the 2020 season.

Gibson said: “It felt like the right time to join a semi-professional club.

“I’m focusing on having a positive pre-season and getting my fitness up to scratch to where it needs to be.

“I know the lads weren’t far away from the play-offs last season so hopefully we can go one better in 2020.”

Winger or centre Brady joins the Crusaders on a one-year deal from community club Wigan St Judes.

Brady added: “We’ve got a few really good sessions in already and I’m really enjoying it so far.

“I enjoyed playing amateur, but you always want to progress and you can never shy away from a challenge.

“You need to be a lot fitter at this level so pre-season is going to be really important.”
