North Queensland Cowboys have confirmed that eight players have left the club.

The departing class is headlined by Cowboys life members Matt Scott and Scott Bolton.

Scott retires after making 268 appearances for the Cowboys over a 16-year career, while representing Australia and Queensland 22 times apiece.

Bolton finishes his North Queensland career with 246 games to his name, trailing only behind Johnathan Thurston, Matty Bowen and Scott.

Outside-backs Jordan Kahu, Javid Bowen, Gideon Gela-Mosby and Enari Tuala will also leave the club.

Papua New Guinea international Kurt Baptiste will leave after one season with the Cowboys.

And full-back Carlin Anderson will depart after a two-season stint with Paul Green’s side.
