NL Grand Final Venue Announced

The National League Grand Finals day will be held at Headingley Carnegie Stadium in 2007.

The finale of the season sees the National League 2 play-off final, which decides who earns promotion to National League 1, precede the National League 1 Grand Final, with the winners earning their place in Super League.

This year's event will take place on October 7th, at the home of Leeds Rhinos.

In previous years, the National League 3 Grand Final has taken place as part of the Grand Finals day. The competition has now been re-branded as the National Conference, and it is unsure whether the Grand Final will still form part of the day.

Last season's National League 1 Grand Final, held at Warrington's Halliwell Jones Stadium, saw Hull KR earn promotion to Super League with a 29-16 win over Widnes Vikings.

In previous years, the Grand Finals day had been held at Widnes' Halton Stadium, but Widnes' relegation from Super League in 2005 meant a new neutral ground had to be chosen.
