Nigel Wood: Clubs support our efforts to save Bulls

RFL chief executive Nigel Wood has revealed the Super League clubs support the RFL’s actions in helping the Bradford Bulls.

Wood met with Super League chiefs on Friday to keep them abreast of the situation at the Bulls, and what the RFL are doing with the administrators in order to keep the club alive.

The clubs also debated what course of action to take following the club falling into administration.

It is likely the Bulls will suffer a points deduction, although this has yet to be finalised.

Wood said the meeting between the clubs was a positive one.

He said: “It is clear that the clubs all recognise that the game as a whole has a part to play at this time and their views about the situation at Bradford were aired in a constructive way.

“The Super League clubs gave their full support to our endeavours to ensure Bradford Bulls complete the season.

“The RFL will continue to keep the clubs up to speed with developments during our on-going discussions with the administrator of Bradford Bulls.”

Bradford are due to face London Broncos on Sunday.
