York have signed outside-back Nick Rawsthorne on a one-month loan deal from Toronto.

The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Halifax, before joining Hull FC in 2017.

Rawsthorne sent time with the Knights on loan in 2017, scoring eight tries and kicking 10 goals in five appearances. He joined Toronto Wolfpack ahead of the 2018 season and has scored 19 tries in 23 games for the club.

Knights head coach James Ford said: “I’m delighted to bring Nick back to the club and I’m confident he’ll be a positive asset to the squad.

“Nick has the potential to kick on and develop into a fine player if he works hard enough at his game.

“He’s got plenty of strike and adds versatility as he can play across the backline.”

Due to Toronto not participating in the 2019 Coral Challenge Cup, Nick is in contention for the Knights squad this Sunday at Barrow Raiders.
