League One side Newcastle Thunder have today announced the signing of scrum-half Remy Marginet until the end of the season.

The international player will link up from Elite One Championship side Palau Bronco and played seven times for Sheffield Eagles in 2017. He was also a part of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup French side.

Newcastle Thunder currently sit 9th in the League One table, with four wins in nine.

Head coach Jason Payne told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted we are able to capture Remy until the end of the season.

“He brings with him a wealth of experience and should really add to our already talented halves. It’s all happened very fast and we only started speaking a couple of weeks ago, Remy was excited by the challenge and the opportunity so we made it happen.”
