Newcastle Thunder sign Aussie Prop Jarred Blanke

League 1 side Newcastle Thunder have acquired the services of Jarred Blanke on a 2 year deal. 

He joins from French Elite 1 side Lezignan and also brings experience from Queensland Cup.

The prop forward joins Jack Aldous, Rhys Clarke, Liam Finn, Remy Marginet, Liam McAvoy, Evan Simons and David Weetman as confirmed members of the club’s 2019 squad.

Speaking about his move to Newcastle Thunder in 2019, Jared Blanke said:

“it has been a long-held goal of mine to play rugby league in England and I’m really happy to be coming to Newcastle for that to happen. It is a proud club and I can’t wait to represent it.”

Newcastle Thunder play Keighley Cougars away on Sunday in a hope to finish the season on a high.
