Newcastle land Colton Roche

Newcastle have signed prop Colton Roche from Bradford on a one-year deal.

The 26-year-old has made more than 100 career appearances for Oldham, Sheffield, Featherstone, York, Huddersfield and Bradford. He represented Ireland at the 2013 World Cup.

Roche is naturally a prop but he can also play in the back-row or at centre.

Thunder coach Simon Finnigan said: “I’m looking forward to working with Colton.

“He will add to our team as someone who plays the game in a dynamic way and I am sure will compliment the way that we play.”
