New Zealand Warriors have signed Canberra back-rower Jack Murchie for the rest of the 2020 season.

The 22-year-old has made three NRL appearances for the Raiders since making his first-grade debut in 2018. He has represented the Junior Kangaroos and New South Wales Under-20s.

Warriors coach Stephen Kearney said: “Jack joins us with an opportunity and expectation to play NRL.

“He comes highly recommended and we look forward to giving us some depth leading into our return to the competition next week.”

Murchie added: “I’m looking forward to a new start and the chance to join the Vodafone Warriors and hopefully contribute to the team.

“I’ve played with and against a lot of the boys and I’m excited to join the squad and hopefully playing some good footy moving forward.”
