New South Wales representative Daniel Saifiti has signed a new two-year deal with Newcastle Knights.

The 23-year-old prop made his NRL debut for the Knights in 2016 and has since made 85 appearances for the club. Saifiti has made two appearances for the Blues and has also earned three caps for Fiji.

Saifiti said: “I’m so grateful for the faith the club has shown in me.

“While there have been some tough times, we showed improvement this season and are getting better.

“I owe a lot to this club. My brother Jacob and I came here as teenagers to play Under-20s and I’ve been living my dream ever since.

“We have something special here and a talented group of guys. I’m excited for what the future holds, not only for myself and my team-mates but for our loyal fans – that’s why I re-signed.”
