New South Wales Blues have revealed their new-look kit for 2018’s State of Origin series.

The Blues have also announced a new naming rights partner in Brydens Lawyers.

The three-year deal will see Brydens Lawyers feature as the Blues’ sponsor on the front of the shirt, with the State of Origin team to be known as the Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues from 2018.

Brydens Lawyers are joined by new apparel partner, Canterbury, who has designed the new-look kit for next year, making the kit more modern while also sticking to the traditional ‘chevron’ that is famous in Rugby League.

The jersey features a silicone grip to enhance ball handling in all-weather conditions and a ‘Loop 17’ neckline, featuring double-layer, high-stretch fabrics with reinforced webbing tape.

Long-term sleeve partner NIB has extended its partnership for the next three years, while the renewal of The Star as sponsors on the back of the shirt will continue to help harness the passion of the Blatchys Blues. Tooheys has also agreed to be the shorts sponsor for the next four seasons.

NSWRL say their commercial strategy is stronger than it has ever been, with Blues apparel amassing a 16% year-on-year growth.

Off the field the strength of the NSWRL commercial strategy is greater than it’s ever been, with Blues apparel amassing a 16-percent year-on-year growth, stamping its mark as one of Australia’s most lucrative brands.

The kit has received mix reactions on social media so far.
