New deals for Warrington coaching staff

Warrington coaches Willie Poching and Richard Marshall have agreed new one-year deals at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Marshall, who combines his assistant first team coach role with head coach duties of the Under 20s team, led the youngsters to Grand Final success in 2012 following a top of the table finish.

These deals follow hot on the heels of head coach Tony Smith committing his future to the club until November 2015.

Poching said: “I am very pleased to be staying with the team and club for another year. The success that we’ve had over the last couple of years is something we are hoping to continue and I am looking forward to playing my part in helping the team to be as successful as possible.”

Player welfare officer Karl Fitzpatrick has agreed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until November 2014, while Ben Stirling has joined the club as head physiotherapist.

Stirling previously worked with Crusaders and Castleford, and is the head physio for the Wales national team.
