Melbourne prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona has challenged Toronto star Darcy Lussick to a boxing fight at the end of the season.

Asofa-Solomona called out Lussick on social media last weekend and negotiations are in the early stages to hold an event after the season has finished, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Lussick made his boxing debut last year as he knocked out former Australia and Queensland representative Justin Hodges in just 39 seconds.

The Australian wanted to fight former AFL star Barry Hall – but attention has now turned to Asofa-Solomona.

Posting on Instagram at the weekend, Asofa-Solomona wrote: “When you fight a retired back… Darcy Lussick, if you want a real fight I’d happily jab your face off for easy money.”

New Zealander Asofa-Solomona is 6′ 7″ and weighs in at 115kg while Aussie Lussick stands at 6′ 4″ and 110kg.
