London Skolars have given a new deal to Neil Thorman for the 2019 season.

Thorman originally signed for the Skolars in 2010 but left the club to pursue an opportunity to play in Australia. He re-joined the club last term.

The 35-year-old is set to make his first appearance of 2019 in next week’s Capital Challenge against Wigan Warriors at the Honourable Artillery Company.

On his new deal, Thorman said: “I’m very happy with where Jermaine [Coleman] and the club are heading.

“We have strengthened both on and off the field and am really happy to have signed again this year.

“I’m looking forward to our annual Capital Challenge and hoping a world class club like Wigan will interest more people to come and support their local team.”

On retaining Thorman, Skolars’ coach Jermaine Coleman commented: “Neil is a very experienced player at this level and I’m very thankful that he’s signed for us again.

“With his skill and quality, he brings a great deal of experience and knowledge.

“We’re really excited to have him on board and we think with the team that we’re assembling this year, he’s really going to flourish.”
