Naylor has faith in Roughyeds players

Oldham coach Scott Naylor is putting his faith in his players to keep them in the Championship for next season.

The Roughyeds are engaged in a relegation battle, but a home win over Whitehaven and an away victory at Sheffield in consecutive weeks have seen them climb out of the bottom two.

The club were also the only side in the Championship‘s bottom six to pick up points at the weekend, and Naylor is optimistic about the rest of the season.

“We’ve got to build on this now,” he said.

“I’m sure our confidence will soar, and so it should after the way we played at Sheffield.

“We’re looking forward to the rest of the season with a great bunch of lads who want to do well for themselves, the club and the fans.”
