Nathan Brown appointed as consultant by Melbourne Storm

Melbourne Storm have confirmed that former St Helens and Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown has been appointed as a coaching consultant at the club.

The role is based in Sydney, and Brown’s primary focus will be to provide analysis of the Storm’s opponents. He will also do some specialist coaching of dummy halves, along with offering advice on player recruitment.

“We are pleased to have Nathan join Storm in a consultancy role,” said Storm football director Frank Ponissi.

“From the study trips Craig and I have undertaken in AFL, NFL and European soccer, opposition scouting is an area we have found clubs have put resources to.

“We see this as another tool that our coaching staff in Adam O’Brien, Justin Morgan and Anthony Seibold can use as part of preparing the team for the opposition each week.”

Brown led St Helens to victory in the Super League Grand Final last year, the culmination of a five-year coaching career in Britain. Before that, he coached St George-Illawarra Dragons for six years.
