Widnes prop Anthony Mullally has rejected a number of new contract offers and is now free to talk to other clubs regarding a deal for next season.

Mullally, 20, came through the academy ranks at his hometown club, and also spent a year on loan with Brisbane Broncos‘ Toyota Cup side last season.

He made his Vikings debut in the Challenge Cup against Saddleworth in 2009, before making six appearances in a loan spell with Swinton in 2010.

Vikings Director of Rugby Paul Cullen said: “We are satisfied that all efforts to create a clear pathway to Super League and to improve and extend Anthony’s contract have been maximised.

“However, we have to respect a player’s wish to seek other offers.”

Mullally has made eight Super League appearances for bottom of the table Widnes in 2012.
