Morris won’t rule out England switch

Brett Morris says he hasn’t been contacted by Wayne Bennett about playing for England but won’t rule out switching allegiance.

Morris and his twin Josh are eligible for England through their grandparents.

“There’s been no chat between Wayne and us about that,” Morris told media.

“We are eligible to play for England through our grandad and our mother lived in England until she was 13-years-old.

“It’s something from left field – but you’ve got to keep your options open.”

Both Morris twins have played for NSW and the Kangaroos.

Asked about how it would feel singing a different national anthem, Morris said: “I don’t even know the national anthem.”

“I’m sure Wayne has their best interests at heart and he’ll try and obviously pick their best side.”
