Fresh after signing a new three year deal with St George, Brett Morris says he can’t wait for the NRL season to start.

Winger Morris, who has won ten caps for Australia and made five appearances for New South Wales, has extended his stay at the Dragons for a further three years, until the end of 2015.

Despite being only 25, Morris has made over 100 appearances for the club, having made his debut in nearly six years ago.

“I’ve always wanted to continue my playing career with the Dragons having played all my junior football in and around the Illawarra area,” said Morris.

“I’m looking forward to working under Head Coach Steve Price, who has a lot of fresh ideas for the direction of the team, and can’t wait for the season to start.”

Dragons Chief Peter Doust was quick to laud the influence of Morris, who played his junior football with Kiama.

“Brett is an important member of our playing group and we are very happy he has chosen to extend his career here with the Club,” said Doust.

“Brett is a local junior who has contributed to our club on the field and I am sure our Red V Members, Partners and fans will be equally as pleased that he has extended his term.”
