Salford owner Dr Marwan Koukash has confirmed that Adrian Morley will captain the side next season.

Morley, 36, has joined his hometown club on a one-year deal from Warrington, fulfilling a lifetime ambition.

Koukash revealed on Twitter: “Adrian will be the captain next year. Many thanks to Gleese (Martin Gleeson) for captaining the side in 2013 and watch out for a horse “Gleese the Devil”.

“I have named a horse “Captain Morley”. He is a very decent horse that may need its first run in the next 10 days.”

Prop Morley has previously played for Leeds, Sydney Roosters and Bradford, and featured for Warrington in their Super League Grand Final defeat to Wigan earlier this month.
