Morley faces six weeks out

Morley saw a specialist earlier today who confirmed that the Great Britain forward had fractured his left eye socket and will face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The news comes as a blow to the Wolves, who signed Morley from Sydney Roosters in the off-season, especially as Chris Bridge will also be unavailable for six weeks after tearing his left hamstring in the same game.

Both players will therefore not be able to return to action until the start of April, and will also miss the fourth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

Warrington boss Paul Cullen was confident his side would pull through, saying: "We are hardened by last season's injury crisis and are very proud of the way the team responded to the two losses to secure the win at Wigan.”
