Morgan wants to entertain at St Helens

St Helens centre Ryan Morgan is hoping that he can help his new club play an entertaining style of rugby in 2017.

The former Melbourne Storm man, who inked a three-year deal at Saints in the close season, feels that the team have some threats out wide.

“Hopefully we can show a bit in attack,” he said.

“We’ve got a bit of flair in our backline, so hopefully we can give them a bit of entertainment out wide.”

Morgan has started his preseason now, and has spent much of the time with the squad engaged in building up fitness before the more cerebral discussions about tactics begin.

“I’ve been in training for about a week and a half now,” he said.

“It’s been tough but it’s been good, getting around and meeting all the boys, starting to form a couple of combinations here and there, and trying to get fit together.

“It’s been physically focused so far.

“Trying to get fit and stuff like that. We’ve been doing a little bit of skills here and there.

“I would imagine we’ll start talking about gameplans and how we’ll look to play in the next couple of weeks getting closer to the comp.”
