Moore set for Super League return

Scott Moore has been released by North Queensland Cowboys to enable him to return to Super League for next season.

Moore, 25, made six first-team appearances for the Cowboys last season, which followed a brief spell at Huddersfield after he was released by Widnes midway through 2012.

Cowboys general manager Peter Parr said: “”We have come to a mutual agreement with Scott that allows him to go home to England where he’ll be able to continue his rugby league career.

“We have no plans at this stage to fill the vacancy his departure leaves in our squad and we wish Scott, and his partner Emma, all the best in the future.”

The former St Helens hooker, who has had loan spells with Huddersfield and Castleford, could link up with former Saints team-mate Sean Long at London Broncos.

The Broncos have lost a large number of players in the close season and are yet to officially confirm any new arrivals ahead of their season opener with Widnes on February 16.
