Moore leaves Widnes

Hooker Scott Moore has left Widnes by mutual consent.

Moore, 24, joined Widnes in the close season, signing from St Helens having played in their Grand Final defeat against Leeds.

He has previously had loan spells at Castleford and Huddersfield, and in 2009 represented England.

A club statement said: “By mutual agreement, Scott Moore will leave Widnes Vikings with immediate effect.

“The club will not be making any further comment on this matter.”

Moore was named in the Super League Dream Team in 2009.
