Monaghan not taking Salford for granted

Warrington winger Joel Monaghan says the Wolves will not be taking Tetley’s Challenge Cup progress for granted against Salford this weekend.

Last year’s winners are looking to make it back to Wembley for the fourth time in five years, and host the City Reds on Sunday.

Monaghan said: “We aren’t taking anything for granted at all – Salford will be a tough opponent so home advantage will be key.

“Being champions three times in four seasons puts a target on your back so there are no easy games.”

The only match Warrington have lost in the Challenge Cup in the past four seasons was a 44-24 defeat to Wigan in the 2011 quarter-finals.
