Moltzen set for Tigers comeback

Tim Moltzen could be fit for Wests Tigers‘ clash with the Roosters on Sunday despite missing the win over Melbourne.

Moltzen suffered a hip injury in the warm-up prior to the match at AAMI Park on Friday and was replaced by Beau Ryan.

But Tigers coach Tim Sheens is hopeful of having both full-back Moltzen and utility Liam Fulton, who staggered off with a rib problem, available for the match at Leichardt Oval.

“With the long week, we are fortunate in that we hope to get both back next week. I don’t think either of them would be more than a week if that,’’ Sheens told the club’s official website.

“We will assess it all tomorrow when it’s nice and cold and see how they are.”

Better known for their expansive, razamatazz style, the Tigers proved their adaptability by overcoming the Storm in wet conditions.

“I said to them that I would be very happy if it was 0-0 at half-time. It was 2-all,’’ Sheens said.

“We came up with two early tries when we moved (the ball). And then we just defended it.

“It was a tough night and I’m really pleased with the squad.”
