Molloy joins Noble at Halifax

Halifax have agreed a dual-registration deal with Huddersfield for former Wigan back-rower Jon Molloy.

Molloy, 19, signed for the Giants in the close season and has made three appearances for the club this season, including Sunday’s Challenge Cup win at Batley.

Boss Matt Calland said: “Jon’s been on the radar for a while.

“He was going to come in before Easter but he got a first team call up, but he’s here now and we’re looking forward to working with him.

“He’s tough, aggressive, with good footwork and I am sure he will go well for us.”

Molloy is the second Giants player to link up with Halifax on a dual-reg deal this season, following fellow back-rower Jacob Fairbank.

Meanwhile, Halifax have confirmed that former Bradford, Wigan and Great Britain boss Brian Noble has completed his move to the club as a consultant.
