Moimoi to miss Leigh’s trip to Doncaster

Leigh forward Fuifui Moimoi will miss his club’s away game at Doncaster at the weekend, as he is travelling to the USA to attend his nephew’s funeral.

Moimoi’s nephew was found dead in Utah last week. He was just 22 years old.

Moimoi was determined to play for the club in their weekend game against London Broncos, which the Centurions won 25-12.

“It took a strong character to go out there and play and our lads wanted to win for Fui,” said Leigh coach Paul Rowley, according to the Leigh Reporter.

“He has had a lot of love and support from his team-mates and it has been a difficult time for him.”
