Newcastle captain Misi Taulapapa has received a four-match ban for using offensive or obscene language.

The former Samoa international pleaded guilty to a Grade E charge of using offensive or obscene language.

Taulapapa receives a four-match suspension and a £75 fine.

Thunder withdraw him from last week’s game against Oldham when they realised the serious nature of the charge.

Taulapapa has now three matches of his suspension to serve and will miss Newcastle’s upcoming matches against Whitehaven, Keighley Cougars and Hunslet.
