Minichiello set to stay in Hull

Mark Minichiello is close to agreeing a new deal with Hull FC to extend his stint in Super League.

Minichiello joined the Airlie Birds from Gold Coast at the start of 2015. The forward, who had an impressive debut season in the UK, is off-contract at the end of 2016.

“We are in talks at the moment and hopefully over the new few weeks something will be announced and I’ll be here next week,” he told the Hully Daily Mail.

“I feel great, the body is still really good, it’s just a case of how many more winters do I want to endure?

“It’s great here and I am really enjoying myself. My family is settled and we will see how things go.

“I am happy to go around another year at least and we will see how things go after that.”
