Roosters full back Anthony Minichiello says his team mates still have areas to work on following their defeat to Manly at Brookvale.

The Tricolours gave up a 10-4 half time lead to crash to their fifth loss of the year and Minichiello puts the defeat down to “lapses” in concentration.

“It was certainly tough, we haven’t won at Brookvale for a while,” Minichiello told the club’s official website.

“We knew coming here that they play are really physical, tough game, and we needed to be prepared for it.

“I thought we matched them in areas there, but…a couple of little areas where we have lapses and they put some points on, or we just can’t close out the game just yet.”

Daniel Mortimer had what coul have been a crucial score disallowed, costing the Roosters dear.

“It affected us quite a bit, we were disappointed obviously in the decision,” added Minichiello.

“We all thought it was a try, and it got called back and we had to defend again.

“We tried to stay positive, and it was definitely a physical game, there’s just a couple of areas that we need to pick up on.

“And close the game out, we haven’t closed the games out in the last few weeks.”
