Sheffield utility Elliot Minchella has signed a two-year deal with hometown club Bradford.

Minchella, 21, came through the Leeds academy and made six appearances for the Rhinos before moving on to London Broncos and then Sheffield.

He said: “I’m out of contract with Sheffield at the end of this season so I was approached by Bradford to see if I would be interested in coming and joining the club.

“As soon as I spoke to them I was quite set on coming. I am very happy to have signed and can’t wait to get started.

“I’ve supported Bradford for as long as I can remember, I’ve been to the Grand Finals when they were there. The club means a lot to me and I am very excited to be a part of it.

“I had a good meeting with them and the reason that I signed is that I want to help the club back to where it belongs. It’s a shame to see how it has fallen but I am on board to help get them back to where they want to be and I believe they should be.”

Minchella, who has played in the back-row and at half-back, has scored 14 tries in the Championship this season.
