Millington and Castleford confident ahead of Magic Weekend

Castleford forward Grant Millington is feeling confident ahead of the Tigers’ Magic Weekend clash with Warrington Wolves in Newcastle next weekend.

Cas hammered Leeds 52-12 at Headingley last Thursday, and Millington hopes that they can use the confidence generated by that win against Wire.

Warrington won 56-12 when the teams met at the Halliwell Jones earlier in the season.

“It is a big game for us,” Millington said, according to the Pontefract and Castleford Express.

“We’ve had a couple of days off, so we’ve had chance to freshen up.

“They absolutely smacked us the last time we played them, so we will be looking to get one back and we will be confident going into that match.”

Millington was delighted with the Tigers’ third win on the bounce over the Rhinos at Headingley.

“It is always good to get a win at Headingley. We like playing there,” he said.

“The result was really pleasing, but the most pleasing thing was we backed up the performance from the week before.

“In the past we have been guilty of not being able to string a few wins together.”
