Mike Bishay has signed a new one-year deal with London Skolars.

The 25-year-old half-back came through the ranks at London Broncos, where played 19 games, before having a spell in Australia with Norths Devils.

Bishay returned to the capital in 2015, signing with the Skolars, where he has made 54 appearances.

On staying at the New River Stadium, Bishay said: “I’m looking forward to another season with the boys.

“Hopefully we can have a much better year than last year and I believe we can if everyone is willing to put the hard work in. Jermaine [Coleman] can lead us in the right direction and the senior players can help him out with that.”

Skolars’ head coach Jermaine Coleman commented: “We are really happy that Michael has signed again.

“He will bring some real quality and experience to the team. Towards the back end of the season, after his injury, he really started to find his stride again and performed to a high level.

“He’s got an excellent kicking and organization game and we’re really looking forward to having him back in the team.”
