Former France international Mickael Simon has signed a new one-year deal with French Elite Championship side Carcassonne.

The 34-year-old prop, who won 17 caps for France, made 145 appearances for Catalans across two spells and also enjoyed two seasons with Wakefield between 2015-16.

Simon helped Catalans win the Challenge Cup final at Wembley in 2018.

The Frenchman left the Dragons to join Carcassonne in December and enjoyed an impressive season with the Canaries in the French Elite Championship.
