Michael Marum appointed as PNG Kumuls coach

PNG Hunters coach Michael Marum has been appointed as coach of the Papua New Guinea national team.

His appoointment is part of a stated strategy by Bob Cutmore, the PNGRFL CEO, to appoint local people to important positions within PNG rugby league.

“I have served as an assistant coach to Adrian Lam for some years and later Malcolm Meninga and for the opportunity given is an honor and I am privileged and honored to take it,” said Marum.

Marum will lead the Kumuls to Parramatta in Sydney on May 7 to face Fiji in the Pacific Cup.
