Mendeika set for Broncos debut

On loan centre James Mendeika is set to make his London Broncos debut against St Helens this weekend.

Mendeika, 21, has joined London on loan for a month from Championship side Swinton, having joined them on a 12-month deal from Warrington earlier this season.

Broncos coach Tony Rea said: “He’s been down two weeks now, we brought him down to train in the week leading up to the Challenge Cup game for him to get used to things.

“Probably the biggest compliment is that he hasn’t been noted inside the environment, in other words he has just blended in very well and done a good job so we look forward to his debut.”

Mendeika, Olsi Krasniqi and Mike McMeeken come in to Rea’s 19-man squad in place of Shane Grady, Chris Melling and Scott Wheeldon for Saturday’s visit of Saints.
