NRL side Melbourne have confirmed forward Kenny Bromwich will leave the club at the end of the season, and join the Dolphins.

Bromwich has been with Melbourne all of his professional career, having made his debut for the club back in 2013.

Since then, he has made 193 appearances for the Storm, scoring 25 tries. He also helped the Storm to four NRL Grand Finals, winning in 2017 and 2020.

Also whilst with the Storm, Bromwich went on to represent New Zealand on the international stage. He has made 10 appearances for the Kiwis, including at the World Cup in 2017. He scored a try in his only appearance against Scotland. Bromwich also appeared against Great Britain in 2019.

Another new signing for the Dolphins

He will appear for the new Dolphins side in 2023. The 30-year-old joins his brother Jesse in signing for the Redcliffe-based club.

Speaking to Melbourne’s club website, Storm CEO Justin Rodski said: “He has been a key part of a formidable forward pack that has been the competition’s benchmark and has continued to improve his game year on year.

“While we would have loved to have Kenny stay on with Storm for 2023 and beyond, unfortunately, that won’t be happening but we still have this year to enjoy watching him on that left edge that he has made his home.

“When the time comes at the end of the year, we will give Kenny and his family a proper farewell and say our thanks for all he has done with the club.”
