Gold Coast produced the biggest upset of the season so far when they produced a controlled performance to defeat Melbourne 18-6 at Olympic Park.

Both sides fielded reshuffled backlines but it was the Titans who took the lead with a Mat Rogers penalty before veteran prop Luke Bailey burst over.

The Storm were inneffectual in attack and they were soon further behind to another penalty to leave them trailing 10-0 at the break.

A second score for the visitors from Chris Walker stunned the hosts into action and eventually Joseph Tomane raced over to reduce the arrears. But a late penalty for the Titans sealed the win.
