McPherson injury blow for Reds

Salford forward Shannan McPherson is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury.

McPherson, 27, sat out Friday’s defeat against Warrington, and has been forced to have surgery.

The former South Sydney Rabbitohs player joined the Reds on a three-year deal at the start of last season, following the collapse of the Crusaders franchise.

He made 13 appearances for Salford in 2012.
